Power switch has three slew rates

The AP22980 is a versatile, single-channel, high side power switch which simplifies and enhances power rail management in solid state drives (SSDs) used in portable electronic equipment, computer hardware, and edge-based data centre deployments.

The selectable slew rates mean that wider capacitance loads can be handled while keeping inrush currents down for system stability.

The N-channel MOSFET, with a built-in charge pump has a low Rds(ON) of 5.1mΩ enabling loads reaching 6A while minimising voltage drops and power losses in high current loading applications. A separate VBIAS pin means that the minimum input voltage that can be supported is “significantly lower”, to cover a wide input voltage range from 0.285 to 5.5V, to meet a wider selection of applications.

Quiescent supply is 60µA (typical) for use in applications where keeping standby power consumption down is a priority. Operational temperature range is -40 to 105°C. If the junction temperature exceeds 150°C, an over-temperature protection mechanism is triggered.

The AP22980 power switch is supplied in a compact W-QFN1520 package.
