Power supplies have cooling options for industrial and medical use

The power supplies measure 76 x 127mm (3.0 x 5.0-inch) and are approved for industrial and medical use. The two-level PCB construction includes a baseplate with semiconductors attached, allowing direct cooling into the system chassis, heatsink or cold wall. Efficiencies are up to 92% and the supplies remove heat to the outside world to generate minimal waste heat into the system and minimise internal ambient temperature rises.

Input ranges from 90 to 264V AC. There are six models in the series, with 12 to 58V DC output, and a built-in 12V fan rail.

Both industrial and medical versions meet EN55032 level B. The industrial unit is also is certified to IEC/EN/UL/CSA60950-1, while the medical unit also meets medical 4th Edition EMC levels and is certified to IEC/EN/CSA60601-1 and ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1.

Whether conduction-cooled via a baseplate, convection or fan-cooled, these supplies enable system designers to manage heat generated in the system effectively to increase the lifetime of the product, says the company. In addition to medical and industrial use, they can be used in broadcast, outdoor communications and sealed enclosures.

Free engineering samples are available on short lead-times and all models are backed by the company’s five-year warranty.
