Super junction MOSFETs has switch tech for solar micro inverters
The MDmesh M6 series 600V devices have a threshold voltage optimised for soft switching are suited for LLC resonant converters and boost-PFC converters in energy-conscious applications. They are also efficient in hard-switching topologies, says the company, with a capacitance profile enhancing light-load efficiency and gate charge (Qg) as low as 16nC permitting high switching frequencies.

The super junction technology helps reduce RDS(on) down to 0.036Ω for efficiency gains and power density in battery chargers, power adapters, PC power supplies, LED lighting drivers, telecomms and server power supplies, and solar micro-inverters.

Package options include the space-saving, thermally efficient, leadless TO-LL and popular through hole and surface mount packages including DPAK, D2PAK, TO-220, TO-247, and PowerFLAT. The JEDEC-registered TO-LL power-package outline has a footprint that is 30% smaller and 50% lower height than the established D²PAK 7-pin, says the company. The TO-LL has low parasitic inductances to minimise EMI.

The 37 MOSFETs are part of the STPower portfolio and range from 13 to 72A.
