Measuring Currents with Railway Class Accuracy Issue 2/2012
On-board energy measuring constitutes the system for measurement of electric energy that the traction unit takes from or returns to (during regenerative braking) the overhead contact line. Greater precision in this energy measurement allows operators to better understand their real consumption, and will enable energy management to reduce overall energy consumption, as well as monitoring total energy supplied from the external electric traction system.
