The distributor adds EPC’s GaN-based power management technology to its portfolio of mainstream power technologies, which includes silicon MOSFETs and SiC. According to the distributor, addition of EPC’s enhancement mode GaN (eGaN) FETs and ICs strengthens its range particularly in the low voltage (sub-400V) market, offering engineers a selection according to the design’s size, efficiency, and cost parameters. The In many applications, EPC eGaN devices deliver lower system cost, higher performance and greater power density, added the company.

John Bowman, marketing director of Anglia, explains: "Power is attracting considerable focus from our customers at the moment. Their concern is driven both by environmental and economic considerations”. The distributor was impressed by EPC’s pro-active approach, anticipating customers questions about adopting GaN and supporting them in their designs. “Our FAE team is benefitting from this approach as they undergo comprehensive and in-depth training on the range," adds Bowman.
