Stackpole’s CSSU2512 Offers True 5 Watt Power Rating
Achieving true high power in a compact footprint is no small feat, but Stackpole says its CSSU2512 delivers a genuine 5W rating in a standard 2512 size.
The company says its all‑metal construction and efficient thermal design utilising proprietary internal heat sink materials significantly lower thermal resistance, enabling 5W performance with thermal behavior comparable to typical 2512 current sense resistors rated at just 3 W. This advanced heat handling reduces stress on the PCB and nearby components, improving stability and long‑term reliability in high‑density power designs. With 1–10 mΩ values, 1% tolerance, 50 ppm TCR, and AEC compliance, the CSSU2512 is built for demanding applications where high power and high reliability matter.
