Attractions this year, include two visitor forums. In one, experts will highlight what currently drives the industry and discuss the challenges which academia faces. There will be an exclusive discussion and presentation platform for research and development topics.
The second, exhibitor forum, is made up of individual companies introducing recent product developments in more than 50 presentations.
The association TERA of the Technical University in Graz, Austria, will reveal its progress and approaches in the field of efficient vehicle technology, illustrating the electrically operated research vehicle IBEX.
There are over 300 oral and poster sessions covering topics such as new materials, concepts, construction techniques, system integration and reliability issues. Keynotes are: “Welcome to the Post-Silicon World: Wide Band Gap Powers Ahead“, “Smart Transformers – Concepts, Challenges, Applications“ and “Trends of Solar System Integration Electricity Networks“, as well as special sessions on passive components, smart lighting and e-mobility.
A panel discussion on future topics looks at the role of power electronics. The panel discussion “The Smart Future of Power Electronics”, experts will analyse and discuss the meaning and challenges of Industry 4.0 for power electronics will be analysed and discussed by experts. It is available free of charge for exhibitors, visitors and conference attendees
Seven, half-day seminars and 10 full-day tutorials will be held on the two days before the official opening of the conference. Topics include “Design Challenges for High Frequency Magnetic Circuit Design for Power Conversion“, “Reliability Engineering in Power Electronics – from Components to Systems” or “Exceeding 99% Efficiency for PFC and Isolated DC-DC Converters. GANs versus Silicon”.
