The automotive-grade and commercial/industrial versions of both 200 and 600V devices are offered in the SlimDPAK (TO-252AE) package.
They offer lower profiles and better thermal performance than devices in the DPAK (TO-252AA), says the company to deliver high power density and efficiency for automotive and telecomms applications.
The rectifiers combine a low 1.3mm profile with high forward current ratings to 10A for 200V rectifiers and 15A for 600V rectifiers. They are footprint-compatible with the DPAK package, with a profile that is 43 per cent lower, and a heatsink area which is 14 per cent larger for lower thermal resistance. Additionally, 15A rectifiers provide an alternative to devices in the D2PAK (TO-263AB) package.
The rectifiers' FRED Pt technology enables fast recovery times down to 14ns, low reverse recovery charge, and soft recovery features over the entire working temperature range of -55 to 175°C. The devices' low forward voltage drop down to 0.71V at 4A reduces power losses and improves efficiency, claims the company.
Typical applications for the AEC-Q101 qualified automotive-grade rectifiers include DC/DC converters in automotive engine control units (ECU), anti-lock braking systems (ABS), and HID and LED lighting. Commercial/industrial devices are optimised for telecomms power supplies.
The rectifiers feature an MSL moisture sensitivity level of one, per J-STD-020, LF maximum peak of 260°C. They are RoHS-compliant and halogen-free, and suitable for automated placement and allow for automated optical inspection (AOI) in automotive systems.
Samples and production quantities of the rectifiers are available now, with lead times of 8 to 10 weeks for large orders.
