DIN-rail power supply units target industrial applications

The REDIN/3AC series two- and three-phase AC/DC DIN-rail power supplies are designed for stability in harsh automation environments. They continue to operate reliably from mains voltages of 320 up to 575V AC even when one phase fails, says the company.

The addition adds to the company’s portfolio, allowing it to comply with customers’ requirements across the board: from low-power electronics and sensor technology with small, efficient DC/DC converters to the central front end of a stable mains supply. The series delivers 120, 240, 480 or 960W at a stable 24V output voltage (trimmable from 22.5 to 29.5V DC) with only 40mV ripple. For power-hungry applications and redundancy purposes, the units can be connected in parallel with no need for additional components due to a built-in droop mode regulation with current limitation to guarantee equal load distribution.

The power supplies are protected against overload with a power feedback function at over-temperature. The regulated power limitation also allows a stable start-up of non-linear loads. These modules are certified to IEC/UL508 standard for industrial control equipment and EN/IEC/UL60950 for worldwide usage. The supplies come with a five-year warranty. Samples are available from all authorised distributors.
