The IC family targets automotive electric vehicle (EV) applications, such as traction inverter, on-board chargers, energy management DC/DC bus converters and battery management systems (BMS).
It uses the company’s high-speed FluxLink coupling to achieve ±3% accuracy for combined line and load regulation. It also eliminates dedicated isolated transformer sense-windings and optocouplers and maintains output voltage regulation even under the transient stress test, adds the company.
The integrated 750V MOSFET meets stringent automotive de-rating requirements, while an on-chip synchronous rectifier controller delivers above 90% efficiency at the nominal 400V DC input voltage.
According to the company, InnoSwitch3-AQ designs achieve less than 10mW no-load energy usage across the input voltage range. The ICs are packaged in a surface-mount InSOP with 11mm primary to secondary creepage, which exceeds the requirements for high altitude (i.e. above 5000m) isolation.
The company has also released the DER-840Q reference design to demonstrate start-up, shutdown and efficient operation from 30 to 550V DC input, fast transient response as well as safety and protection features.
Supplied in the InSOP-24D package, the ICs are available now.
