Two ReDrivers meet Modern Standby mode for power saving PCs

The PI3EQX12902E and PI3EQX12904E ReDrivers deliver the elevated linearity and ultra-low jitter characteristics that are now expected in laptop, notebook, industrial PC and embedded system designs, says the company.

Both are claimed to significantly reduce battery life, with the one-lane PI3EQX12902E which operates from a 3.3V rail consuming just 1.7mW in standby mode. The two-lane PI3EQX12904E consumes just 3.3mW. They have built-in coupling capacitors to reduce component count and save board space.

The PCIe 3.0/SATA3 combo ReDrivers support data rates up to 8Gbit/s and  deliver heightened signal driving capacity, says Diodes. They are also transparent to link training. They provide programmable equalisation, linear swing and flat gain capabilities, allowing signal losses to be compensated for extending PCB trace lengths. Both ReDrivers conform to PCIe and SATA protocols.

The PI3EQX12902E in a 30-TQFN (ZL) package and PI3EQX12904E in a 42-TQFN (ZH) package are available now.
