First member of NeoPower family quadruples power density

The NP08 It combines best-in-class power density of 18 W/in3 with extensive digital communication options, to deliver optimised, application-specific power conversion in a small form factor. The company claims it offers up to four times higher power density in a 2.5-inch configurable power supply than comparable solutions available today.

This is the first member of the NeoPower family of AC/DC configurable industrial and medical power supplies. It combines eight output power with optional dongles that support all common digital communication protocols without the need for design changes or modifications.

The NP08 is designed for ease of configuration in both series and parallel implementations. It can be programmed as a voltage or a current source and operates with low noise performance. It is qualified to all applicable standards including the medical BF (body floating) safety rating and the SEMI F47 standard relating to immunity from voltage sag.

AC inputs are 90 to 264V AC. The company’s ConnectedPower interface portfolio allows the NP08 to support RS-485 (MODBUS RTU), PMBUS, and CANBUS (CANOPEN) protocols. The NP08 is therefore also suitable for IoT applications requiring cloud-based monitoring and control.
