Rohm’s PLP and webpage support worry-free sourcing
The company has launched a webpage dedicated to its new Product Longevity Program (PLP) which provides information on the estimated supply periods for products scheduled for long-term supply. The programme is focused on the industrial market and other applications with long life cycles.

Increasingly, semiconductors and electronic components are being installed in long-life applications, such as industrial equipment and automotive systems, which requires the disclosure of applicable products and clarification of supply periods to facilitate product selection.

The webpage shows products formally placed under the program (selected after considering the production system, equipment, material procurement status, and other factors) along with the estimated supply periods. The goal is to improve searchability by increasing the efficiency of customer product selection

The PLP sets supply periods of 10 to 20 years for mainly power and analogue products which require long term supply. It also provides relevant information such as supply status. Information such as target products and supply periods will be updated once a year to ensure the continuity of customer operations.

The objective, says Rohm, is to provide long term supply and contribute to sustainability.
