PCIM Europe organiser Mesago Messe Frankfurt says the 2024 event (11 to 13 June) in Nuremberg has expanded, with an additional exhibition hall and will include a focus on the topic of Smart Power System Integration.

The number of registered exhibiting companies is already more than last year at around 450 and organisers say the show is heading for another record year in terms of exhibitor numbers and exhibition space.

The addition of Hall 5, means that PCIM Europe 2024 will cover four exhibition halls in the Nuremberg exhibition centre. The new hall 5 will feature companies such as Schweizer Electronic, Pink, Vogt AG Verbindungstechnik, Thales DMS France SAS, Sempro Technologies BV, Ennovi Holdings, Seifert electronic and the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration IZM.

Other exhibitors in other halls include Infineon Technologies, Mitsubishi Electric Europe, Semikron Danfoss, Wolfspeed and STMicroelectronics. Messago Messe adds that the exhibition will also welcome “numerous new exhibitors”.

A new focus of Smart Power System Integration is in response to the miniaturisation and complexity in the industry, leading to increasing requirements in terms of power density, efficiency, signal frequencies and thermal properties. “As a result, processes and manufacturing technologies are merging and system integration is taking center stage. Power electronics places particularly high demands on materials, components, circuit carriers, temperature resistance and, especially assembly and interconnection technologiesm,” said Messago Messe.

At the Smart Power System Integration zone and stage in Hall 5, exhibiting companies will present technologies, solutions and application examples for current and future challenges in power electronics manufacturing. The focus will be on new developments for applications in areas such as automotive, railway and server technology.

There will be four stages – the Smart Power System Integration Stage, the Technology Stage (formerly known as the Industry Stage), the Exhibitor Stage and the E-Mobility & Energy Storage Stage. Visitors can expect an extensive programme of presentations on current products, trends and innovations as well as interesting facts about electromobility and energy storage.

Due to the continued high relevance of power electronics for the development of electromobility and energy storage, E-Mobility and Energy Storage will once again be highlighted in a special area at the exhibition. The E-Mobility & Energy Storage Zone will host presentations on current topics and trends relating to the electromobility and energy storage value chain as well as live product demos at the stands of suppliers from this area.

E-mobility and energy storage will also be addressed at the parallel conference which is setting new standards with over 500 submissions after the application deadline for speakers. The record number of submissions promises an even more comprehensive, high-quality conference program with presentations from the research and development departments of leading companies and universities from all areas of power electronics. The programme will be published in January 2024.

Tickets for PCIM Europe 2024 are expected to be available from February 2024.
