With immediate effect, Rutronik has announced it is offering ceramic capacitors with a particularly high degree of safety with the MLCCs of the SC and ST series from YAGEO.

The company says they are available as X1/Y2 and X2 MLCCs with NPO and X7R TCC and all SC series are UL and TÜV certified.

The components of the ST series (with soft termination) also boast a good performance under bending stress on the circuit board. The safety grade capacitors, as well as other products from YAGEO, are available as tape & reel packages at www.rutronik24.com.

The capacitor consists of a rectangular block of ceramic dielectric containing a series of nested metal electrodes. This structure results in a high capacitance per unit volume. The inner electrodes are connected to the two end terminals and finally covered with a layer of plated tin (NiSn). The terminals are lead-free.

The components are available in three different package sizes with a wide range of possible variations.
