Stackpole Delivers AEC-Qualified MELFs Designed for High Reliability Applications
Designing high-reliability applications presents challenges in sourcing resistors that meet electrical performance requirements while remaining cost-effective and readily available. This challenge becomes even more significant when AEC-compliance is required.
Stackpole says it addresses this need with the MLFA Series, an AEC-Q200 compliant MELF resistor engineered for superior electrical and environmental performance, featuring low thermal resistance. The MLFA demonstrates outstanding stability and reliability, with test performance for key resistance values as follows:
  • Biased Humidity (85°C / 85% RH, 10% rated power, 1000 hours): ≤ ±0.5%
  • Operational Life (MIL-STD-202, Method 108): ≤ ±0.25%
  • Short-Time Overload (RCWV × 2.5 or maximum overload voltage for 5 seconds): ≤ ±0.1%
The company says with its exceptional reliability, the MLFA Series is well-suited for applications such as audio equipment, power monitoring, precision controls, industrial controls, motor controls, automotive electronics, test equipment, and instrumentation.
Pricing varies based on size, resistance value, tolerance, and TCR. For specific or volume pricing, please contact Stackpole or one of our franchised distribution partners. Additionally, more than 70 of the most popular values and sizes are in stock for immediate availability.
