The company says the new devices are manufactured in a base metal electrode (BME) system with a dry-film process, reducing costs for a wide range of high-voltage applications. Their field of application includes input filters, output filters and snubber capacitors in the fields of conventional and alternative energy generation, distribution, measurement, management and storage; industrial automation, motor drives, power tools and welding equipment; Household appliances; mobile and fixed telecommunications infrastructure and medical equipment.
The high-voltage MLCC devices of the VJ....W1HV series with dielectric C0G (NP0) offer high voltages up to 3000 VDC, capacitances from 1.2 pF to 22 nF and temperature coefficients (TCC) from 0 ppm/°C ± 30 ppm/°C in the temperature range from -55 °C to 125 °C. The X7R versions offer capacitances from 100 pF to 100 nF, voltages up to 2000 VDC, and temperature coefficients of ± 15% in the temperature range from -55 °C to 125 °C.
The MLCCs feature a nickel barrier layer with 100% tin terminals and are also available with polymer terminals for additional protection against damage caused by board deflection and thermal cyclic loads. The components are RoHS compliant, halogen-free and Vishay Green.
