SoC transceivers drive connectivity in Internet of Things

The NCS3651x family of SoC transceivers has been developed by ON Semiconductor. The 2.4GHz, low-power, wireless transceivers are based on the IEEE 802.15.4-2006 standard which support protocols such as ZigBee, 6loWPAN, WirelessHART, and proprietary versions. The transceivers can be used in low data rate, intermittent communication IoT applications in smart metering and consumer appliances. They operate from a single supply (one to 3.6V) and incorporate a 32bit ARM Cortex-M3 processor, as well as configurations of RAM for data storage and flash memory.

The NCS3651x family is sampling now, with volume production expected early to mid-2015.
